Weighted average LitRPG.
The plot is adventures in the online world flavored with sluggish offline. Nothing special. Apparently the author familiarized himself with the works of his predecessors in the genre, derived a weighted average and produced the finished product. An absolutely handicraft item, which does not fall below a certain level. There are no multi-page dialogues or combat here, everything is in moderation, the scenes are cut off by Kamenisty almost as soon as they become boring. But it’s also not as exciting as Andrei Cruz’s. It’s reminiscent of a dish from a cheap cafe, everything is fair and matches the price, but still not homemade food.
It didn’t generate much interest, but I didn’t want to throw the book out the window. The hero is quite convincing for the genre, the supporting characters also spend their time on the pages not in vain. The quests could have been more challenging; there is no special intrigue when completing them. The most interesting book is the first one, when Ghero had not yet started swinging and began to turn the world around, however, this is the case with almost all works in the genre.
I can’t say I liked it, but I can’t call it a failure either. This is strictly for LitRPG fans.

I'll describe everything in order:
I really liked the first book in the series. The tie is quite standard, but detailed. The initial steps of the GG in the game were reminiscent of Ilyin’s book “Sheriff”. All with humor, pianos, as expected. New acquaintances, knowledge of the game, preparing the reader for a short detective story.
The second book, as a continuation of the first, tells about the further adventures of the GG with obtaining additional goodies. The hero becomes an uber bender/crafter/cook and so on. This is LitRPG. Hello again pianos.
The third book was frankly disappointing. Over the course of two books, Stony led the main character, gradually increasing his power. Friends appeared, difficulties were overcome. solved problems. Immediately gallop across Europe. Sometimes the thought arose that this book was written not by Kamenisty himself, but by someone else. A completely different narrative language, everything is compressed in time, where the author was going is not clear. I had the feeling that I should have finished the book and the series faster.

The first work of this genre that I read. As an avid gamer with a huge amount of experience, I couldn’t tear myself away until I finished it to the end. Apparently the 3rd part will be the final one, I’m looking forward to the reveal of the plot. In fact, the entire narrative is a kind of ideal game, with high-quality character development. The only thing that bothers me is the huge number of skills of the main character and the feeling that all this will end someday, because you can’t endlessly accumulate skills and levels, it’s time for them to be realized in something. I have never had such a feeling of empathy for the GG that this cycle evoked, apparently it’s not even a matter of the author’s skill, but of the gamer’s essence, which involves complete merging with the character within the framework of an RPG project. The only actual science fiction idea about transferring a person’s personality to some digital medium is not new, and the theme is practically no different from that genre of “misfits,” but it still grabs you and doesn’t let you go. It’s a pity that the author writes at least 3-4 cycles at once; the 3rd part is supposed to be released in the spring of 2016. After reading the dilogy, I even wanted to plunge into the world of computer RPGs again, but a month of fermentation in Korean sandboxes completely satisfied my “hunger” :-) All RPG fans will definitely like this opus. I give it a 10, although I understand that I am overly subjective.

Recently, many authors have been guilty of the fact that the commercialization of a work comes to the fore and has a bad effect on its literary value. Those. a successfully written work turns into a book epic with a long chain of sequels, which increasingly lose connection with the initial work, as well as any readability. Here the author completed everything very logically, putting everything in its place. In general, I don’t read Kamenisty very often. His works are not for everyone. I can agree with the previous reviewer that I also found something in common with some of the series that I read earlier on this topic, but as the author wrote that the game described here, which takes all the best from others, then I think the same thing about his novels, which is not detracts from their merits.
